In a move that seems to emphasize the rapidly expanding business portfolio of Google, the company is changing its name to Alphabet.
The search engine and business will still remain Google but Larry Page is now the CEO of the holding company to be known as Alphabet while hitherto Senior Vice President Sundar Pichai will be CEO of Google.
"This new structure will allow us to keep tremendous focus on the extraordinary opportunities we have inside of Google," Larry Page said in the blogpost.
