The Samsung Z will be on show at the Tizen Developer Conference to be held this week in San Francisco, the United States, the South Korean company said in a statement.
The tech behemoth said that the phone is optimized with the Tizen software, which will offer a faster startup time and immediate multi-tasking capabilities.
The smartphone comes with a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display and a 2.3 GHz Quad-core processor. It features a distinctive home and application layout for easy access to favorite apps.
Samsung has been struggling to develop its own operating system to rely less on the Android of Google, which has been working on supports for other Android-based device makers.
