Gareth Bale completes world record move from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid
Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas Boas has confirmed Gareth Bale will leave for Real Madrid...and the star finds himself pitched straight into the centre of a club versus country battle.The Wales superstar is scheduled to team up with his international colleagues in Cardiff at 2pm tomorrow to begin preparations for the looming World Cup games against Macedonia and Serbia.
But Welsh boss Chris Coleman is bracing himself for Bale to be whisked away to Spain as his £86m move to the Bernabeu is rubber-stamped.
Wales will speak to Bale’s advisors this morning to determine whether he will be available for international duty or not.
After their north London derby defeat against Arsenal, Villas Boas said: "Gareth will be leaving us to join Real Madrid and we wish him all the best.
"We wish him all the best.
"He leaves with great memories that every Spurs fan cherishes.
"He moves on and we move on too.
The Real Madrid website also confirmed that the Cardiff born star has completed his six year contract with a reported £86m as the world record transfer deal.
