Top 5 Blogs in Nigeria

Blogging is big business in Nigeria and the owners of several successful Nigerian blogs are smiling to the bank with some really good monthly revenues. The definition of what a blog is varies but technically speaking the word "blog" was coined from "web log", which started as a form of online diary where people noted things and events that were important to them. Some websites that started as blogs have morphed into more conventional websites. Hence, you will not find the likes of Bellanaija.com on this list. Conversely, some blogs do not actually use the name blog but I have listed them anyway because of their format.

 Here are the top 5 blogs in Nigeria based on Alexa country ranking in descending order:

 5. Nigerianeye.com

4. Mercyjohnson.com

3. Thenet.ng

2. Ladunliadi.blogspot.com

 1. LindaIkeji.blogspot.com

There you have it folks, Linda Ikeji's blog is the No.1 blog in Nigeria. Quite a great achievement!
