Google has launched its revolutionary eye ware cum Internet device 'Glass'. However, those who buy the device are not allowed to resell or share it with other people as Google has warned that it might deactivate such devices without a refund or any form of compensation to those who flout its user terms and conditions.
Google's terms of sale states:
"You may not resell, loan, transfer or give your Device to any other
person. If you resell, loan, transfer or give your device to any other person
without Google's authorization, Google reserves the right to deactivate the
Device, and neither you nor the unauthorized person using the Device will be
entitled to any refund, product support or product warranty."
This is quite a worrying condition as it really limits the fun in sharing the device with your family and friends. You have to get "Big Brother's" sorry Google's approval first.
To be fair, Google does allow you to give the device out as a gift. This implies that you buy one for your loved ones if you want them to share in the 'Glass experience'. It is all about making more money for Google it seems.
It will be interesting to see how this affects the sales of Glass in the next few months and beyond.
